The world (meaning the good old USA) is turning brown or at least tan. Warren with it's 99% "Caucasian Persuasion" needs to get on the ball and start making white babies. It's fun and down right patriotic. I propose (like the Republicans) a ban on birth control and abortion. We desperately need more Nascar lovin, Walmart shoppin, McDonalds eatin white folks to balance things out or the next president without a birth certificate may be from Puerto Rico! Those that are able, get to work!

White Births Are No Longer the Majority in U.S.
The demographic milestone that has been expected for years has finally come.

White births in the United States are no longer in the majority, according to US Census Bureau data made public Thursday.
Minorities -- Hispanics, blacks and Asians and other mixed races -- accounted for 50.4 percent of births over a 12-month period to July 2011, marking a majority for the first time in US history.
The demographic milestone had been expected for years in a country founded by European whites and that early on relied heavily on the work of enslaved Africans, then went through a civil war and civil rights battle over issues of race. (proud history, that, no?)
Whites still maintain the largest single share of the total births, at 49.6 percent, according to the census data, and remain the majority -- 63.4 percent -- of the population as a whole, according to the Census Bureau in the latest release of data from its 2010 census.

I talked to Yeti Man and he said it would be a good idea & a good day out for a hike sometime in June while I'm home. We're thinking maybe some weekend morning, we go out for a hike, and if we just happen to see anything odd, at least some of us won't think the others of us are crazy.

Regardless of what we find, it'll be a nice healthy hike in the fresh morning air. Anyone game?

According to Yeti Man, June 2nd and the 16th are taken. Other dates are good. I'll be on the 4th committee, so if there's an event at the end of the month on the weekend, that'll be out for me.

I'm going to be experimenting with the forums, trying to port them over to a fresh Drupal install, rather than using a separate phpbb3 installation for the forums. Reason being, I'm getting emails about once a week now about the sync between here & the current Drupal site not working with passwords & someone getting either locked out, or logged out all the time, when this shouldn't be happening. I reckon it's partially because this is a heavily modded version of phpbb3, as well as a port from another forum system.

The two just aren't playing nicely together.

If I can get it to work, I'll shut down the site for an evening (most of you are never on during the hours I'm talking about), reupload the database, do the migration, and when you wake up in the morning, you SHOULD be able to log into the MAIN site, and continue posting as if nothing ever happened (although the look will be different).
